Eyelid surgery - correction of upper and lower eyelids

The correction of the skin of upper or lower eyelids is performed due to the excess of skin of eyelids that accumulates above the edge of the upper eyelid and can cause restriction of the visual field or worsen the aesthetic appearance of the patient, as regards the lower eyelids it can cause numerous wrinkles, mainly in outer parts of the eyelid. The situation can also be worsened by fat prolapses, which is fat around the eye socket that pushes outwards through the eye septum and it pulls the skin. The operation can be performed separately, i.e. only the operation of upper lid or lower lids or together. The operation is performed in local anaesthesia, after the operation the patient goes home.

Within the scope of pre-operative interview, the doctor will explain to the patient the issues of the operation, location and shape of scars, possible risks and complications and course of the post-operative period. The internal pre-operative examination is performed on the patients who suffer from more serious diseases requiring permanent medication or special measures during the operation. One week before the operation you will stop using drugs such as Acylpyrin, Aspro, Aspyrin and Mironal, which contain acetylsalicylic acid causing bleeding.

You will come to the hospital at the agreed time, do not take any jewels, valuables and bigger sums of money to hospital, apart from the money to pay for the operation. Arrange a lift home after the operation is completed. At home prepare painkillers, such as Brufen, Ibalgin, Paralen etc.
